A work premiered at John Richards’ 50th birthday celebration concert in Leicester: for three conductors and one dirty electronics musician – ca. 6’.

With a title varied from the earlier piece, I Conduct Electricity, this one, a celebration piece for John Richards (aka Dirty Electronics) reverses the normal scenario of one conductor, many musicians leaving the birthday musician following three conductors, Sam Topley, Neal Spowage and the composer, using Richards’ own unorthodox conducting movement material (let’s call them movement samples) to decide what to play on instruments he devised himself. He only prompt was to use his bed of nails instrument when I pointed to it as he was fully unaware that there were samples of his own voice under each one of them.
